Download, install, and open PlayOnMac: Sign up using Email and Password. This is the only serious problem.
When I click on the short cut, the cursor turns into a loading icon for a few seconds, but after that nothing happens. When I download my games, I get the error An error occurred while installing [Game Name] content servers are unreachable None of the tutorials I've followed have mentioned anything about this issue, and it happens whether I install Steam through the terminal, with winetricks, or with PlayOnLinux.

David Triphon Jan 7 8: I downloaded the latest version of Wine, and then I downloaded the latest version of the windows steam installer and ran sudo wine SteamSetup. Log into Steam, and install the game like you'd do it in Windows. It worked for me on my MacBook Pro.

Steam runs steaj in Wine. Intro skip if you want. So the whitespace does matter. I recently botched a dual-boot install job of windows and ubuntu, and just went full Ubuntu.
I can't get it to make the new shortcut and for it to be showing on the face of playformac. The old guide was much, much longer. It only takes a minute to sign up.
